Protect Your Excel Data with a Password

Excel spreadsheets and workbooks are frequently used to store and process sensitive data such as financial information, passwords, order forms or medical data. This is an excellent use of Excel, however it does leave your sensitive data open to unauthorized access, especially if you email it.

If you're planning on including any sensitive data in an Excel spreadsheet, such as financial or medical data, it's a good idea to password protect your workbook.

This is a great way to ensure your information is not being accessed by unauthorized users and it's simple to do. The important thing is to use a password you will remember or note your password in a safe location.
